A large fully extending vintage Kai Kristiansen dining set complete with an oval teak dining table matched with six teak and fabric Schou Andersen Kai Kristiansen model 31 chairs.
This is a very practical and also stylish Mid century dining set that can be easily adapted to your space and dining requirements with the use of the 2 x 50cm extension leaves. The extension leaves can be stored in the table when not in use, as shown, and are also a good colour and condition match the main table top. This is unusual as often the extension leaves stand out as they will generally be in better condition and therefore a different colour to the main table which most often is faded from UV exposure.
 
In its smallest configuration it is a 149cm x 104cm oval table which comfortably seats 4. With one extension leaf the shape naturally changes to a more rectangular shape with rounded ends and is able to seat 6; and with the addition of the extra leaf can seat 6, 8, or even 10 at a push. Both the table and chairs are in really beautiful vintage condition that highlights the golden tones of the teak grain and the vibrant green fabric on the chairs (which looks like it is original) has no stains, major marks, holes or tears. The wood frames of the table and chairs have a few minor knocks and marks just as you would expect from use in a vintage set, but all the joints are solid and true.
 
A truly impressive set that can be adapted for smaller dining family use or part extended, or fully extended, for dinner parties and special occasions.
