A set of 6 Danish Mid century dining chairs designed by Hans Olsen for Frem Røjle
 
6 Danish Mid century dining chairs in dark figured afromosia and soft black nappe leather designed by Hans Olsen for Frem Røjle in 1952.
 
Hans Olsen is one of the greats of vintage Danish design and alongside his contemporaries Arne Jacobsen, Hans Wegner and Børge Mogensen was credited with bringing the new movement of Danish Mid century Modern design to an International audience. Though lesser known than his contemporaries his work has recently attracted well deserved new interest in recent years.
 
He’s perhaps most famous for his Roundette Dining set which featured a small extending dining table with triangular tuck under chairs. These 6 chairs are therefore a continuation of that design but feature a larger seat, but still with the same tuck under rounded back that would allow them to fit within the design of the table as originally produced by Frem. 
 
The set is presented in very good vintage condition with just a few minor marks in the leather (but no deep scratches, nicks or tears) and on the chair frames.
