Antique French dressing table or occasional chair in red toned terracotta velvet.

This is an unusual little chair with some interesting design elements noted in the rail back, ‘book end’ top rail and brass floor protector end caps. It probably dates for the late 19th or early 20th century and features velvet seat pad and back cushions supported on an elegant and sculptural wooden frame. The frame is most likely Yew or Elm and has a deep grain encompassing natural dark coloured knots.

It is presented in very good condition with virtually unmarked upholstery and showing signs of patina and marks to the wooden frame commensurate with its age.
