Blå Station Swedish design bentwood side chair and table by Börge Lindau.
Börge Lindau (1932–1999) born in Åhus, qualified at what was then the Swedish Society of Arts and Crafts in Gothenburg and became one of the country’s most recognised designers. Lindau formed Blå Station in 1986 and is credited with creating simple but beautiful and unusual furniture that is umistakingly Swedish by design.
This table and chair perfectly represents his design ethos being both functional and striking in design by combining bentwood, metal and glass. The set is in good overall condition with a few marks to the chair (more so on the back as shown) and with light marks to the metal frames and glass as you would expect.
