A beautiful contemporary oak and metal desk designed by Patricia Urquiola matched to 2 B&B Italia Solo ivory leather and satin chrome chairs designed by Antonio Citterio. 
 
If you’re working from home or need a clean simple lined desk for an office or reception area this set is a perfect match. The cantilevered side of the desk seems to float on the dove grey powder coated patterned metal support creating a feeling of lightness and space. The desk is a good size and large enough for two people to work or sit at comfortably. It features a full extension drawer unit to one side and an integral task light to other. It also has a clever little freestanding  book shelf that is not fixed to the unit so can be placed anywhere as required.
 
It could also be used as a dressing table and if you placed a large mirror behind it would be an elegant addition to a modern bedroom.
 
The two ivory leather B&B Italia Solo chairs are a very good match to the clean lines of the table and are both comfortable and stylishly understated. They easily fit side by side in the recess of the desk, so push all the way under to save space or could be used facing each other on opposite sides of the desk. The desk is finished well from both sides so could either be placed against a wall or be freestanding in the centre of a room.
 
Both the desk and the chairs are in very good used condition with a few marks here and there as you would expect. The desk top looks like it might be slightly faded because as you can see from one of the photos there is a slightly darker section of wood close to where the task light is, probably where someone has placed a book. However, it doesn’t detract from the overall impression of the top and actually just looks like a slight shadow. The task light is in fully working order and is furnished with a two pin European plug – it does however, work perfectly fine in the UK with the use of a simple plug in plug adapter.
 
If you would like to buy the desk without the chairs it would be £1,250 and in this case please contact me and I’ll adjust the listing accordingly. However, you may see that the chairs retail at over £1,200 each and not only look great with the desk but are a real bargain as part of the set.
