Vintage Mid Century Danish brown leather 3 seater sofa by Mogens Hansen.

Mogens Hansen represents the new vanguard of Danish designers emerging from the golden era of Danish design in the 1940's and 50’s. Established in 1961 the company produced many furniture designs specialising in soft furnishings, sofas and armchairs and are still manufacturing today.
 
The MH2225 leather sofa is a classic of the late 60’s and proved extremely popular throughout the latter half of the 20th Century. An iconic design, similar in style to Børge Mogensen, it has smooth curves and gently swept arms all layered onto a solid wooden frame. It’s renowned for its comfort with feather down infills to the pillows and at over 2 metres in length it’s both a comfortable 3 seater and also long enough to snooze on! 
 
This particular item is presented in deep brown aniline leather with ebonised legs and is in very good vintage condition. There are no major marks or defects to any of the leather and only slight wear and tear and patina commensurate with a used sofa of this age.
 
All in all it’s a wonderful sofa that mixes well with other styles of furniture or decoration; perfect for a modern home or apartment. Big enough to be comfortable but with elegant proportions in height and depth so as not to overpower a room.
