A design classic, this Eames soft pad chair has certainly seen some action! The natural wear to this item will either delight or distress you depending on your ethos on vintage pieces. Many collectors like to see honest wear on their items and whilst the upholstery could be repaired and restored to a pristine condition I personally prefer items with character; which is why I’ve left it in the condition it was found in. It’s a historical piece and wears it’s history well - not as scars to be airbrushed out and beautified.
It won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but with the right setting and accessories it’s warm colour a worn look would create an instantly appealing used and familiar feeling.
