A truly exceptional example of this classic late 1950's vintage leather office chair designed by Vincent Cafiero for Knoll Inc.
 
Featuring the original thick cognac panelled leather this chair stands out as one of the finest examples of Cafiero's work. Beautifully aged with just the right amount of patina and wear it's both comfortable and striking as well as eminently practical. Originally designed by Cafiero whilst he was Senior Designer of the Knoll Planning unit the chair is height adjustable, tilts and also revolves to allow you to work seamlessly in any task based environment. As such it perfectly echoed Knoll's approach to business and design that Cafiero championed and that also built Knoll's enviable design reputation throughout the 60's and 70's. 
 
All in all the chair is in very good vintage condition with a few knocks and marks here and there commensurate with age and use and all the castors move freely. The aluminum base is still bright with barely noticeable tarnish and has light marks appropriate to its 60 years of service. It has however, been clearly cherished and loved so remains in remarkable condition for its age.
