La Fonda Eames and Vitra opaque glass coffee or side table.
Originally designed by Charles and Ray Eames for the La Fonda del Sol restaurant that opened at the Rockefeller restaurant in 1961 it is the epitome of beautiful Mid-century modern design. Commissioned by Alexander Girard this coffee table has ever since been a design icon produced by both Herman Miller and Vitra. Available in numerous options over the years, this particular item was produced by Vitra and features an acid etched, opaque white glass top on wooden support and chrome legs. Offered in very good condition.
Perfect as a side, coffee or reception room table and also equally at home in a conservatory or on a sun deck. Works well (as shown in image 6) with one of my other items for sale: a pair of B&B Italia Iuta chairs- listing for chairs HERE.
