A large and impressive Maison Baguès classic French designed cast oil rubbed bronze and Alabaster centrepiece table or side lamp.
 
A superb and finely crafted original contemporary centrepiece table light created by the esteemed French designers and lighting manufacturers Maison Baguès, in what can only be described as a modern classical style. The cubist form is enhanced by the decorative element of the Alabaster shade that becomes translucent when lit, but also when placed in sunlight. This creates not only a beautiful diffused glow, as can be seen in the accompanying photographs, but also becomes a piece of art in its own right as it displays the complex figuring and grain in the Alabaster panels. 
 
It’s a wonderfully heavy and solid piece with the oil rubbed cast bronze base adding considerable gravitas that exudes quality and style. This light was originally designed in 2010 and is currently still made to order in different sizes and finishes. This is the largest version of the light and currently retails at over £9,200 per piece.
 
The light is in very good condition and shows light traces of use with just a few minor marks to the shade and base along the main edges. It is fitted with a dimmer switch so that the light intensity can be suited to your requirements; it also benefits from having the maker’s name imprinted into the frame as shown.
