A set of 6 dark stained beech Niels Otto Moller style Danish Mid Century dining chairs.

These are a beautifully crafted set of chairs with a simple but striking form that is complimented by the superb jointing work. The angles and sculptural details of the wood profile and the tops of the ladder backs are very reminiscent of Moller’s style.

They were manufactured by Odense Mobelfabriken, with one chair still retaining the original manufacturer’s mark as shown. However, although the manufacturer was known to have produced designs for Erik Buch, Aksel Bender Madsen and Ejnar Larsen in the 1960s, there is unfortunately no archival evidence I can find on this particular design.

The chairs are all presented in good vintage condition with signs of light use to the wood work and appear to have been reupholstered at some time in their life. The fabric is a soft, damson coloured linen and compliments the dark stained colour of the wooden frame perfectly.
