A beautiful and thought provoking painting of 3 sisters in red embarking on a journey into a golden vista. It’s dark and brooding with heavy textured brushwork and yet at the same time hopeful with a sense of transition into another phase of life. It’s an imposing centrepiece measuring (including frame) 111cms square, and as you can see from the main image, gains depth and vibrancy when lit. It would work well in a main lounge area, reception room or even in a commercial setting.
 
The painting is signed and dated 2002 although the artist is unknown. The gallery information detailed verso suggests this is a Danish artist from the Copenhagen region of Denmark.
 
In overall very good condition with just a few small marks to the frame and canvas.
