This lounge chair was attributed to the master Italian furniture manufacturer Bernini by the previous owners who purchased it in Italy in the 1980’s. It’s easy to see why as the quality of the workmanship and detailing is exceptional. It’s an extraordinary chair that looks great from any angle and is really an art piece in its own right. It’s believed to be a prototype and I’ve certainly never seen anything like it before especially with the use of the bespoke plywood frame, supporting brackets, tensioning wires and thumb screws. It has an interesting look that in part looks Asian in design and is almost throne like in size and would look amazing as a standalone piece in any room.

It's presented in very good vintage condition with just a few marks here and there commensurate with age. There are no holes, tears or significant marks in the leather and the wooden frame is tight with no loose joints.
