A compact Mid Century kneehole desk with beautifully figured rosewood veneer.
This desk is by an unknown designer but exudes absolute quality. From the beautiful veneer that has been painstakingly matched across the draws, the top and sides to the dovetail joints it's clear that a lot of time and effort has gone into this piece. The back is as striking as the front, so it makes a great freestanding desk that doesn't have to be placed against a wall to look its best - and even the veneer on the inside of the kneehole has been matched to the overall design too. It's a perfect size if you're tight for space at just 126cm wide by 59cm deep and yet still very practical with 3 draws of varying depths on each side, plus a centre draw, and is in very good vintage condition. It's also a good match to the two chairs (also available for sale on this website via my other listings) as shown in the last 2 photographs - the Källemo leather and steel Sheriff chair HERE and Niels O. Møller Model 75 HERE.
