Danish Mid Century Niels O. Møller teak and black leather model 75 desk, side or accent chair for JL. Møllers
Niels Otto Møller stands out as one of the greats of Danish Mid Century design and was especially known for the numerous chairs he designed over his extensive design career. The Model 75 is perhaps one of the most understated and yet the simple curved back and frame has an enduring quality that is still unmistakably Møller. This particular chair has a dark stained teak framed with great character which at some point in its life has been matched to a soft black leather seat pad (the original seat would have been papercord) that adds comfort and durability. It's in very good vintage condition with some knocks to the frame as you would expect but the leather seat is virtually unmarked. The chair also benefits from the original JL. Møllers and Danish Design medallions to the underneath of the seat.Originally designed as a dining chair it could also be used as a desk or dressing table chair or as an accent or side chair. The chair is also a good match in colour, size and proportion to the Rosewood kneehole desk available on one of my other listings on this website HERE as shown in the last two photographs.
